AVG
Anti-Virus - Just in case you don't have an
anti-virus program, or you have one that costs you more than it's
worth, here's a great freebie. When you click on the link choose the
Free Edition on the left side of the page and not the
premium edition on the right hand side. Even though the premium edition
says it's free it really is not.
Affilorama - A great website with a load of useful
information. Look across the very top of the page for the menu. Here
you will find a lot of wonderful video lessons covering everything from
keyword research to SEO optimization to site building and more. You
don't even have to sign up to take advantage of these features.
TrafficTravis
- A great SEO and keyword finder research tool to download. Watch the
video, sign up (for free) and download it to your desktop.
KeywordSpy
- Wow, you won't believe what this does. You can enter keywords or a
website and see your competitions keywords, website, ads, what keywords
are perfoming best for them, etc. Watch the video then click on the
green "Take A Free Trial" button.
The free trial version you have access to is limited to displaying just
20 keywords. Just the same, it's great information.
KompoZer
- Eventually you will probably get around to building or modifying a
website. If learning HTML code has you scared off then this program is
the answer. With its WYSIWYG
interface this is the easiest web page editor
around.
WayBackMachine
- Want to see how a competitors or any website has changed over time?
Now you can take a trip months or years into the past to see how a
website has been changed until they finally got it right. This is a
rather busy looking page, look for WayBackMachine
at top center.
Paint.NET
- This is a Windows based image and photo editing software. If you
can't afford Photoshop then you should really try this. After all, you
will probably want some graphics for your website. Just click the
download link at the very top of the page.
VideoSpin
- Ths is a Windows based video editing software. Let's say you are
making a video for YouTube and you want to include some text , like
your website, in the video. This will let you do that easily.
VideoLAN - What about
watching videos or listening to audio? I know, I know you have Windows
Media Player. Trust me, this program may not look as pretty but it's a
much better multimedia player. It will play video files WMP would just
give up on.
StatCounter
- A free yet reliable highly configurable hit counter. Insert a simple
piece of code on your web page and you will be able to analyze and
monitor all the visitors to your website. You have the option of adding
a counter to your webpage for all to see or an invisible one that only
you have access to.
Firefox
- If you like IE as your browser that's fine, I'm not going to debate
which is better. You may want to download this anyway even if you don't
want it as your primary browser. Why? Well it has a bunch of add-ons
that are made for us affiliate marketers. Just CLICK HERE
